Aim and Scope
SDU University Bulletin: Pedagogy and Teaching Methods is a peer-reviewed, multilingual academic journal (Kazakh, English, and Russian) that focuses on contemporary issues in education and teaching methodologies. The journal publishes empirical research articles and literature reviews addressing various aspects of the educational process. The journal is published quarterly in an electronic format, with issues released in March, June, September, and December.
The guidelines have been developed in alignment with the State Order issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled "On Approving the Requirements for Scientific Journals for Inclusion in the List of Publications Recommended for Disseminating the Results of Scientific Activities," and in adherence to the university's policy on scientific publications.
The journal aims to address critical issues in the field of pedagogical sciences, foster the exchange of fundamental and applied research findings, promote integration into the global academic community, and advance the quality of education and academic research.
The scope and scholarly focus of the journal encompasses pedagogy, including:
- Theory and practice of education (foreign language education, innovative educational methods, holistic education, psychological and pedagogical education, inclusive education, primary education, professional development, ideology and value-based education);
- STEM education (physics education, mathematics education, chemistry education, biology education, edtech);
- Education administration (education policy, curriculum development, education management and leadership);
- Digital education (distance learning, online education, innovative educational, technologies, it technologies).

Submission Fees
Publication in SDU University Bulletin: Pedagogy and Teaching Methods is free, that is, the journal does not require any payment of submission or publication charges by authors unless it is prescribed by the University Policy on Scientific Publications. SDU University Bulletin: Pedagogy and Teaching Methods is an open-access journal, that is all content is freely available over the Internet to any reader.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Authors are required to reveal any financial or other significant conflicts of interest in their manuscript that might influence the results or interpretation of their research. Additionally, they must acknowledge all sources of financial support for the project.
Unpublished content disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by the editor for their own research without obtaining written permission from the author. Any confidential information or ideas gained during the peer review process must remain confidential and should not be used for personal benefit. Editors should withdraw from handling manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the manuscript and request that a co-editor, associate editor, or another board member take over. In such cases, the manuscript should be reassigned to another member of the editorial board. Editors are responsible for ensuring that all authors disclose any potential competing interests and make necessary corrections if such interests are revealed after publication. If required, additional measures should be taken, such as issuing a retraction or raising concerns.

Plagiarism
The “SDU University Bulletin: Pedagogy and Teaching Methods” upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publication practices. Authors are expected to ensure the originality of their submissions and to provide accurate citations for all sources referenced or quoted within their work. Plagiarism, in all its forms, is strictly prohibited and is considered unethical behavior. This includes copying or paraphrasing substantial portions of another's work without proper acknowledgment or claiming research results conducted by others as one's own.
To reinforce its commitment to academic originality and integrity, the journal has adopted Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection tool. This initiative reflects the journal's dedication to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly excellence. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection through Turnitin, with a minimum originality threshold of 80%. This process aims to identify and prevent both inadvertent and deliberate plagiarism, fostering a scholarly environment where the dissemination of original and trustworthy research is paramount.

During the submission process, authors must verify that their manuscript has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
