STORY STRUCTURE METHOD IN TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: B1 LEVEL EXAMPLE

It is known that Turkish as a foreign language is not rich enough in terms of content and materials in the teaching process. Today, it has becomeinevitable that the content produced should be rich enough to facilitate learning by establishing empathy and creating cultural bonds in the line of indirect and direct strategies. This study, it is aimed to provide convenience and permanence in learning by presenting both grammar and text-based learning activities in a unit by giving the subjects in a consecutive line with the fiction-based storytelling method in foreign language teaching strategies. The subject was created depending on the data collection and analysis methods within the scope of the case study, one of the research designs. The research has highlighted that teaching a foreign language in storytelling is more efficient in terms of language learning strategies and facilitates direct or indirect learning.
