Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of solving equations of the fourth degree, which arose in connection with the transition of elementary mathematics subjects to the "updated program". Even before elementary mathematics moved into this program, equations of the fourth degree were considered at a certain level. However, we think that the transition of school mathematics to a new content will give a new impetus to this situation. For this reason, the article presents a new method for solving equations of the fourth degree "the Ferrari method" and the types of problems solved on its basis. The article is intended for specialists in the field of methods of teaching mathematics, teachers, doctoral students and graduate students.
