Abstract

In our article, it is discussed that internet-based distance
language teaching, which has emerged due to the developing technology in
recent years, provides important opportunities in terms of gaining communicative competence due to the fact that sound and image are the basic
components of the internet. The internet is equipped to gain the four basic skills
of listening, speaking, reading, and writing for distance language learners
The aim of our study is to teach foreigners the skill of speaking through
distance education in Turkish teaching, to explain the computer-assisted
interactive programs used in distance education, and to demonstrate the important methods and techniques in developing speaking skills in this way. To provide students with an easy and enjoyable way to learn to communicate in
Turkish. A striking point in the studies on the use of technology in language
education is to reveal the benefits of combining computer-based education with face-to-face language education.
