Abstract

The article raises the question of the formation of
mathematical thinking in students on the basis of mathematical thinking and its significance, as well as the solution of word problems. Thinking mathematically must be one of the most important human skills of the twenty-first century. And the place where a person develops mathematical thinking is high school. This is due to the fact that not all graduates continue their education in higher educational institutions, and secondly, even if a graduate enters a university, he may or may not have mathematics. And we think that the basis for the formation of mathematical thinking in secondary school is the solution of general problems, including textual ones. The solution to the word problem is based on the “Practice - Theory – Practice” system.
