Abstract

As you know, special training of academic writing as a
scientific and practical discipline is just beginning to be introduced in universities in Kazakhstan. The main scientific text includes a scientific article, a dissertation, an academic review, a monograph, and a description of a scientific project, a thesis, an abstract, a review, a scientific discussion, and an encyclopedic article. Academic literacy is one of the main requirements of our time. Therefore, now one of the priority tasks of any university is to actively involve student youth in science, support fundamental and applied research with the participation of students. This article will tell you how important it is to teach the course “academic writing” at a university. That is, the literacy of written works in any scientific direction and the importance of research work are considered. The course “academic writing”, taught at the University, shows the advantages and ways to master it.
